From links to answers: building a clearer brand presence

Search is expanding beyond lists of links. The practical response is to make your brand easier to understand, verify and explore.

Start with the facts

Use the same organisation name, contact information and service descriptions across your website and public profiles. Explain what you do, who it is for and what the next step looks like.

Make useful answers accessible

Answer the questions buyers actually ask. Put a concise response before the detail, then add context and sources. Keep important information in accessible HTML rather than only in images or downloads.

Measure without promising placement

Track an agreed set of queries and prompts over time, recording language, date and platform. Compare citations, referral visits and qualified enquiries separately. AI answers vary; a visible citation is not a guaranteed acquisition channel. Google states that its existing SEO foundations also apply to AI search features and that no special AI schema is required.
